New Demo Tunes Now Posted!

We recorded our show at Slammers on November 21st, and generated some new demo tunes from those recordings.  It's been quite a while since we've updated the demos, so we hope you all enjoy something new to listen to.

You can listen to those by clicking on the Jammed! Demo Tunes link from our main menu.

Jammed! Welcomes Bob Knowles

We are very pleased to announce that our friend Bob Knowles is now a permanent member of Jammed!  We've enjoyed having Bob fill in with us on several occasions over the past eight months, and are very glad to have him join us as our new lead singer.

We're currently updating everything to reflect this new change to the band.  Some things will come very quickly (like the addition of Bob's biography to the Band Bio's webpage) and others will take a bit longer.  We recorded our show at Slammers this past Saturday (November 21st) and are working to get some new demo tunes mixed from that material.  We also had several friends of ours taking pictures during that show, so we should get some new pictures posted on our website within a few days or so.

Additionally we've already added some new tunes to our set list, and will be bringing in more in the near future as well as bringing back some that we haven't played for quite a while.

Needless to say that we're very busy with all of these changes, but very excited to have Bob in the band.  And all of us are very excited about what the future has in store for the band.  And as always, you are all invited to come along for what should be a great ride!

Changes Coming To Jammed

As we near the end of Jammed's 2nd year playing the clubs of New Hampshire's Merrimack valley, we've had to look back on what has been a challenging year for all of us and make the difficult decision to part ways with our friend Joe.  He joined us in April to take on the lead singer role left open when our former singer, Nick, left the band to focus his time on his growing family.  Nick left some big shoes to fill, but Joe jumped in eagerly and brought with him great stage energy and a passion for 80's style rock, leading to the inclusion of many new tunes to the band's active songlist.

Despite having performed some great shows with Joe, including his last performance with us at Slammers on Friday October 23rd, we found  that the band has never quite settled in with this line-up and has not been able to progress as successfully as we all hoped it would. With the current economic conditions placing great stresses on everyone, including presenting challenges to the clubs where we perform, we felt that it would be better to let Joe persue other musical opportunities better suited to his vocal style than for us all to continue struggling to make things work together within Jammed.

We are grateful for Joe's friendship, and for his enthusiastic approach to our musical efforts over these last seven months.  He's a great guy and a great performer, and we wish him well in his future endeavors, both musical and personal.

As for Jammed!, we will definitely be keeping our current performance schedule, and will certainly be working to secure dates for 2010.  We have started working with another friend of ours at this time, and hope to be able to announce the line-up very soon.  Until then, stay tuned and check back often!

Website Changes Coming Soon

Long overdue changes will soon be coming to Jammedrocks.com, the website of Jammed!

We're in the process of bringing a new look to the website, as well as updating many of its sections.  We're also going to upgrade the site's content so that it better represents the band in it's current form.  We ask for your paitence while this work is taking place since we've removed some of the site's pages for the time being.

We're also in the process of mixing a new set of demo tunes to represent the band's current line-up of musicians and vocalists.  We'll let you know when those are ready and posted.  We'll also be revamping pictures posted on the site, and hope that we'll be able to start posting some of you, our loyal fans who come out to see us perform.  And with any luck we'll be able to get some new video's up as well.

We'll leave our home page up, as well as a few of the other pages, so that you'll still be able to check out our events schedule.  And as always, we'll send out notices of our up-coming shows to those of you on our mailing list.  If you're not already on it and would like to be added, please go to our Contact Us page to send us a note with your request and email address.  As always, we only use our mailing list to send out notices of our own performances, and never provide it to anyone else for advertising or any other reason.

So thanks again for your patience while we update our website.  We'll let you all know when we're ready to kick off the new version!  Until then, have a rockin' good summer, and check back for our up-coming shows!

Kicked Off the Jammed! Summer

Jammed! kicked off the summer at Jillian's with the Coors NASCAR and ROCK 101.  The unpredictable summer weather lead us to set up inside, but that couldn't keep us from rockin' the night away.  It was an early evening gig from 6-11, our second with our new singer Joe Costa, and was a fun show despite being indoors.  We were once again joined by our sax-playing friend Marc White who added his sax and voice to the night's performance.  We also enjoyed seeing our friend and former lead singer Nick who graciously joined us on stage for a few tunes.

We're still working on our summer performance schedule.  Currently we'll be taking some vacation time during July, but already have shows lined up for August including another night scheduled for the deck at Jillian's (hopefully without the threat of rain).  We're also working to add a few more gigs so check back often to find our latest schedule.

It's Joe Costa!!!

Jammed! concluded the search for a new lead singer with the selection this weekend of Joe Costa.  The process went on a bit longer than expected, in part due to the great response that we had to our ad postings by many talented singers.  We enjoyed the opportunity to meet many new people.  It was a pleasure having them come to sing with us for the auditions.  It was not easy to make a decision with so many strong candidates to choose from, but in the end we felt that Joe fit both the band and the music that we perform very well.  He definitely worked hard preparing himself for the audition process.  We think he'll be a great addition to the band!

Joe’s first full night with us was at Slammers on June 6th, 2009. Right from the first note played, a new electricity was felt on stage and in the crowd. The energy level Joe brings to the show is unmistakable. You have to see it to believe it.

We’d like to thank both Bob Knowles (formerly of Better Daze and The 45’s) and Ed Johnson (One Fine Mess) for filling in as front man until Joe was ready. Their services to Jammed! will not go unnoticed.
THANK YOU!!!

With the arrival of his new daughter and the conclusion of our search for a new singer, we also say a fond farewell to Nick Haas who has been singing with us since Jammed! formed two years ago.  Nick's vocals provided the last piece of the puzzle that allowed a casual jam group to transform into the rocking band that's been performing on average every other week for the last 18 months.  It's been a pleasure having him with us during this time, and we hope that he'll occasionally find time to come out and get up to sing a tune with us every now and then.  We sincerely wish Nick all the very best!

These are exciting times for Jammed!  We've been adding more gig dates and we're looking forward to seeing all of you out there for many more great shows!  Check back here for all the details!
